The Following Example Data was captured with a TechTools DV1-100 Logic analyzer

This example demonstrates using the Asynchronous Signal type to display the capture of RS-232 communications and the Synchronous Signal type to display the capture of SPI communications.

We used a DV1-100 to monitor 2 types of serial communications on an embedded system. Two of the captured channels are displayed as the Transmit and Receive lines of Asynchronous RS-232 between the PC and the target at 115.2 Kbaud. The other communication is between the 8031 type microcontroller and an EEPROM device using standard 3 wire SPI and is displayed using the Synchronous signal type.

DV1-100 captured over 132 SECONDS of real-time data at 10ns resolution.

Without compression, this would have required a buffer of over 13 Billion samples.
