The Following Example Data was captured with a TechTools DV3400 Logic analyzer
This example demonstrates using the Asynchronous Signal type to display the capture of RS-232 communications and the Synchronous Signal type to display the capture of SPI communications. We used a DV3400 to monitor 2 types of serial communications on an embedded system. Two of the captured channels are displayed as the Transmit and Receive lines of Asynchronous RS-232 between the PC and the target at 115.2 Kbaud. The other communication is between the 8031 type microcontroller and an EEPROM device using standard 3 wire SPI and is displayed using the Synchronous signal type.
DV3400 captured over 44 MINUTES of real-time data at 5ns resolution.
Without compression, this would have required a buffer of over 534 Billion samples.
